Roles and significance of entrepreneurship ; new venture creation and innovation for economic growth ; development process of new ventures, intra/entrepre-neurship ; entrepreneur's characteristics, source of new ideas, differentiation of good ideas and real business opportunities, startup process, source of finance, business environment analysis ; formulation of a realistic written business plan : marketing , production, human resource and financial planning ; group presentations of applied Knowledge.

IMG 411 Project Management 3(3/3-0-0) Prerequisite : Senior Standing

This course is a practical course in which students work in the field,individually or occasionally in pairs,on real or simulated entrepreneurial projects. Students will apply concepts that they have learned in the classroom by either, drafting and implementing the student's own business plan or by working with an entrepreneur on a special project

IMK 303 Logistics and Supply 3(3/3-0-0)

Chain Management Prerequisite : IMK 101

Principles and theories of logistics and supply chain management ; value added concept, system approach : raw material movement, product distribution, investment management and cost cont rol ; integrated new technology ; co-operative network and cost efficiency. Students will be acquainted with tools, which help to respond to intense business competition and increasing consumer demand.

Culture and tradition in Chinese Trading ; Chinese business management style ; importance and use of "guanxi" ; intricacies of Chinese bureaucracies ; modern Chinese trading tradition ; Chinese laws and regulations in key trading provinces.

ICB 402 Chinese Trade Policy 3(3/3-0-0) Prerequisite : None

Development of trade policy in China ; China and World Trade Organization ; relationship between the Communist Party, the central and local government and private sectors with regards to investment ; co operation between state-owned enterprises, domestic private business and foreign participants to develop and expand Chinese markets ; role and function of the new Super Commerce Ministry.

Selected topics of interest in current international business management in China : Chinese international trade, policy and practice, international business environ-ment and management strategies, Chinese business culture and management style, financial market and institutions, technology transfer and foreign investment opportunities.

IDB 301 Indonesian for Business I 3(2/2-1/2-0) Prerequisite : None

Learning the phonetic system and pronunciation, basic grammar and structure, vocabulary for daily use and in business; practice listening, reading, writing, and translation; basic conversation about business topics using the structures and grammar learned in class.
