IEC 203 Economy in ASEAN 3(3/3-0-0)

Community and China Prerequisite : IEC 201, IEC 202

The course develops students' understanding on regional economies especially in South-East Asia and China enable to improve their competitiveness among member countries. It explores the ASEAN community that aspi res to integrate the economy across South-East Asia into a single region. The course covers the following topics: History of formation of ASEAN, structures of the economies of each countries, ASEAN's contribution to political stability, development of main countries economy among member countries, new international economic order, the future of ASEAN, and other regional organizations such as the European Union.

IEP 302 Entrepreneurial Marketing Strategy

3(3/3-0-0) Prerequisite : IMK 101

This course is designed to help students learn about best practices in Entrepreneurial Marketing. Entrepreneurs, in companies large and small, face unique challenges in successfully building competitive advantages with limited marketing resources. This course covers the analysis of marketing opportunities, identification of the target audience, and the development a marketing strategy, brand positioning and an integrated marketing plan. It reviews product and service development processes. It provides a basis for establishing pricing policies and pricing plans.

China Entrepreneurs and their Business Prerequisite : None

The course draws heavily on the experiences of ASEAN and Chinese entrepreneurs, to help students develop the management skills needed to compete effectively as an entrepreneur in the future. It focuses on the critical aspects of business in both success and failure. The course is organized around their business management styles

IIB 302 Negotiation for International Business

Theories and principles of business negotiation ; development of strategic prescription to build up negotia-tion expertise and for desired outcomes through current research study, extensive video feedback both verbal and non-verbal and role playing ; requirement of interac-tive case exploration and analysis for development of the plan and preparation of skills.

IMB 301 Malay for Business I 3(2/2-1/2-0) Prerequisite : None

Learning the phonetic system and pronunciation, basic grammar and structure, vocabulary for daily use and in business; practice listening, reading, writing, and translation; basic conversation about business topics using the structures and grammar learned in class; studying cultural factors that affect business in Malaysia.

Economic and monetary environment study of multinational business corporation ; business and government interface ; organization and strategic management of multinational enterprises (MNE) and multinational corporation : technology transfer, short and long-range planning, organizing, managing, marketing and financing.
